AssetWorX™ is an Intelligent Asset Technology provided as a component of the GENESIS64™ HMI/SCADA and AnalytiX® product suites. AssetWorX enables users to organize all enterprise and equipment data into reusable equipment (asset) classes that can be easily instantiated for all like assets to construct a system. Pumps, heat exchangers, well heads, gas fields, turbines, chillers, buildings, building zones, manufacturing cells and plants can all be defined as Asset Classes. The AssetWorX approach greatly reduces engineering efforts needed to configure a system and delivers a very consistent system organization. Assets are defined in an ISA S95-compliant asset tree, constructed to represent the enterprise.
AssetWorX Configuration- AssetWorX Asset Classes contain all properties, equations, commands and operations that any user might use, as well as graphic templates, smart symbols and trends that are needed to visualize and provide insight for that type of equipment. Once defined, the user simply instantiates the class as many times as necessary at the appropriate level of the enterprise hierarchy to fully define all equipment and entities to be monitored. In addition, a growing list of intelligent providers is available that can be embedded in an asset such as Energy AnalytiX® and FDDWorX™ Fault Detection and Diagnostics.
For example, the asset properties associated with a specific item of equipment might include: real-time status and alarm data, historical data, historical data analysis (indicating efficiency curves and energy utilization), runtime accumulation or downtime accumulation by cause. Asset properties could also include maintenance work order data acquired from a network connected EAM system, Fault Detection rules, mechanical drawings accessed from a networked CAD system or unit production data accessed from an ERP system
AssetWorX Navigator- AssetWorX automatically creates an operator viewing component that provides rapid intuitive navigation to all information associated with all assets. The AssetWorX Navigator provides drill-down and roll-up aggregation to any level in the enterprise hierarchy. It also provides, via right-click or drag drop, the ability to execute commands and operations associated with, or directed to, the asset and enables all based on the security level of the user. For example, by selecting an asset within the AssetWorX Navigator a graphic display can be loaded in a display frame or, a new pen can be added to a trend plot. Or, when viewed via smartphone, a specific text message can be sent to a person selected from your phone list.
Asset Visualization - Asset properties can be visualized and analyzed with all GENESIS64 and AnalytiX viewing components. This include 2D and 3D animation on GraphWorX™64 graphics; as pens and data points on the wide variety of charts provided by TrendWorX™64; as data in the cells of any GridWorX™ real-time grid; and as data on Energy AnalytiX or FDDWorX viewing components.

AssetWorX Navigator
The AssetWorX Navigator provides a new navigation scheme for displays and dashboards, allowing easy-to-use hierarchical trees to drill down to specific assets quickly and easily. Using ISA-95-compliant tree navigation, the AssetWorX Navigator is a simple tool using Configuration and Runtime modes for organizing data. Enterprise visualization is unlimited with the dynamically loading AssetWorX asset tree, allowing for unconstrained scalability. Users can achieve a new level of integration by adding Commanding, to execute commands in other ICONICS viewers. In Runtime navigation mode, AssetWorX Navigator will provide drill-down interaction to access assets and roll up data to be viewed for any level of the enterprise.
Commanding
As an effort to allow more communication between modules (such as AssetWorX Navigator, AlarmWorX™64 Viewers, TrendWorX64 Viewers, etc.); Commanding was developed in ICONICS' Platform Services technology and is shared by all ICONICS products to allow communication to be sent from AssetWorX Navigator, or GraphWorX64 Pick Actions, to command an action in a targeted application. The available commands are extensive, but can include acknowledging alarms, creating/deleting trends, opening displays and much more. Using Commanding will allow for organization within even the largest applications by providing template capabilities for reuse.
