Solutions Sales Engineer
ICONICS is seeking technically exceptional sales engineers who have designed and implemented automation projects. As a solution sales engineer you will help secure new projects and close deals by providing the technical expertise to our front-line salespeople. We are looking for engineers that can think on their feet, innovate quickly, and develop solution concepts that excite and convince potential customers that their goals will be achieved with ICONICS products.
You will be expected to become a technical expert on ICONICS products and system technologies and will interface directly with our customers, developing and delivering product demos, answering questions and concerns on architectures and product capabilities, as well as assisting with presentations and proposals.
Aside from specific customer opportunities, we also work to develop tools and materials that the salespeople can use in the future to effectively sell and support our products.
An exciting aspect of the position is the wide range of automation applications that look to ICONICS for solutions. In your role, you will be involved in the integration of large and diverse types of commercial and industrial equipment and sensors, as well as customer databases and IT applications. You will be contributing to the organization and analysis of monitored data, and will be designing critical graphical dashboards, reports, alerts, and workflows based on such data. One week you might be creating a demonstration of how a large discrete manufacturer will monitor and analyze production, configuring Statistical Process Control and OEE analysis of each line and plant. The next week you could be conceptualizing how a global corporation will monitor and analyze HVAC and electrical systems across their worldwide building portfolio.
You are expected to be of the highest professional integrity and be the person that the customer can rely on for critical advice involving their use of ICONICS software. You will be interfacing with many levels within our customer’s organizations and should have very strong communications skills.
