ICONICS MobileHMI data mobility software appears on a wide array of smartphones and tablets across the world. In recent years, the software has made the leap to head-mounted computing devices, such as Microsoft’s HoloLens and RealWear’s HMT-1. KPIWorX was designed to provide easily accessible KPIs to multiple clients, including desktops, web browsers, tablets, mobile devices (including smartphones), and wearables. With version 10.96, the list of compatible devices will now include smart watches, including the Apple Watch.

MobileHMI’s new Remote Expert capability allows users to take a mobile device, such as a tablet or a wearable such as RealWear's HMT-1, into the field to look at an issue and elicit help from a remote expert who might be sitting in an office or at home. With remote expert capabilities, experienced technicians can transfer that expertise out into the field. The on-site worker can engage in a video call with the remote expert, sharing what he or she is looking at. The worker can also share a video still with the remote expert, who can make annotations to help the worker understand what steps need to be taken to solve the issue.
WatchHMI on the Apple Watch allows a user to view simple KPIs on one’s wrist. The app can support a variety of charts such as pie, donut, bar, column interface, and line. WatchHMI can be configured in KPIWorX on any web-enabled device and then viewed on the watch from anywhere. Apple Watch users with Series 2 or later can use the crown to scroll through a trend history or highlight different bars in a bar chart to see more information. A swipe to the side advances to the next chart in the deck. Multiple WatchHMI decks can be configured and can even be linked with location data. Data on the watch comes from real-time and historical data sources and refreshes once every twenty seconds or when the chart is first loaded.
