IoT Gateway Hardware
IoTWorX is a Linux and Docker based software solution that enables local data access, visualization and analytics on a wide variety of third party IoT gateway hardware platforms. Gateways of your choosing can integrate devices, sensors, and other equipment to securely and efficiently publish messages to the cloud independently from the data subscribers. Built-in software modules provide low latency, edge data processing and analytics with onboard Fault Detection and Diagnostics (FDD), Workflow and real-time visualization of your KPI data. The IoT Alliance Program has identified a number of Gateway companies that are eager to support you with gateways to match your specific application.

Remote Gateways are easily and cost effectively installed, and then securely “phone home” and are remotely provisioned and managed through the Cloud. Designed for the management of 10s to 100s or even thousands of remote gateways and their associated numbers of assets, IoTWorX is one of the industry’s most elegant solutions for delivering remote services or improving the operational performance of your distributed architecture. Gateways automatically authenticate and download their specific application, then automatically begin to perform their tasks.
Cloud Communications
IoTWorX delivers a variety of efficient and secure northbound protocols for cloud communications that utilize a publish/subscribe architecture with bidirectional data flow. These include AMQP well as MQTT, REST, and WebSockets. All bases are covered for both Microsoft Azure cloud and for third-party cloud providers. TLS encryption with x.509 certificates are leveraged to secure transport of IoTWorX data. Southbound protocols for device communications include native support for BACnet, SNMP, Modbus, OPC UA, and various web services. In addition, hundreds of additional devices are supported through an integrated set of partner developed Linux Drivers offering OPC connectivity.
