President & CEO

Ted’s 25-year career features a broad range of success in industrial automation markets. Prior to joining ICONICS, Ted was the Director of Business Planning for the Software and Controls segment at Rockwell Automation, responsible for annual operating plans, portfolio management, and acquisition integration. Ted served in a variety of roles at Rockwell including Director of Global Business Development and Business Director, Automation Software. In these roles, his responsibilities included managing Rockwell's relationship with Microsoft and other partners, acquisitions, and business and product management for automation software. 

Prior to Rockwell, he co-founded two software companies. Incuity Software, Inc. developed enterprise manufacturing intelligence software and was acquired by Rockwell in 2008. DataWorks Systems was a system integration firm he co-founded in 1994 that deployed a variety of controls and automation projects in North America and South Africa.

Atsushi Otsuka

Atsushi "Ash" Otsuka

Vice President of Corporate Development

Mr. Otsuka has a 25-year tenure with Mitsubishi Electric Nagoya. He was appointed as Vice President of Corporate Development for ICONICS in April of 2022, working at ICONICS headquarters in Foxboro, Massachusetts. At ICONICS, he is responsible for promoting the collaboration between Mitsubishi Electric Company (MELCO) and ICONICS promoting joint development projects. Mr. Otsuka started with Mitsubishi Electric as a software engineer working on GT Designer, an engineering software tool for GOT HMI panels, in Japan. He served as Senior Manager of GOT Firmware Development from 2016 and most recently served as Director of the Mitsubishi Electric Automation Inc, North Development Center from December 2020, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He has a Master of Mechanical Engineering Degree from Nagoya University in Japan.

Rob Harty

Chief Financial Officer

Rob leads the accounting, finance, customer service, legal, and MIS/IT functions for ICONICS. In addition, Rob oversees the compliance activities as part of Mitsubishi Electric. Rob earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Bryant University and brings over 20 years of finance and corporate accounting experience across a diverse range of industries. His multi-faceted background includes a substantial knowledge of administrative processes, business operations, and financial reporting for privately held, family-owned, and publicly traded companies, and he is accustomed to working across departments to initiate change processes that improve efficiencies, enhance reporting processes, and strengthen performance.

Mark leads the global growth of ICONICS. With a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Minnesota, Mark worked in servo motor design engineering at Electro-Craft Corp., then joined General Electric Company for 15-years. While working with GE, Mark focused on sales force management, marketing, P&L operations, and physical distribution of many of GE's industrial "business-to-business” operations.

While Gary has 30+years of exceptional professional experience, most recently, Gary worked for United Technologies as the Director of Product Management and Marketing helping define new products for the Video Surveillance and Card Access market. Gary has an MBA in Strategic Planning, Technical Management from the University of Dallas and a BS in Control/Computer Engineering from University of Texas at Austin.

With over 30 years of experience in software development, Vojta adeptly manages and coordinates the Research and Development (R&D) team at ICONICS. He joined the company in 1994 as a new development engineer and helped establish the Czech development center in Pilsen. Over the years, in positions ranging from software architect and technical director to CTO, Vojta has played a vital role in hiring new talent, managing operations, and overseeing the creation of high-quality products.  Vojta graduated with a master's degree at the Department of Computer Graphics and Data Visualization at the Faculty of Applied Sciences of the University of West Bohemia in the Czech Republic.

Mike has held a wide variety of roles in his career. He has worked in software sales, product and engineering management, and business development / strategy creation. He spent two years in Sweden as the VP of Digital Solutions at ESAB (a Colfax Corporation Company), and since returning to the US at the beginning of 2019, was the Director of Business Development and Strategy for the Software and Control division of Rockwell Automation. Mike was part of the team that led the acquisition and integration of the SaaS companies Fiix Software and Plex Systems into Rockwell Automation. Mike is collaborating closely with Mitsubishi Electric's Factory Automation team, actively shaping ICONICS’ software strategy, emphasizing the growing significance of digital transformation for both our customers and us.

Senior Director of Global Marketing

Melissa oversees the Product Marketing, Marketing Communications, Marketing Operations, Technical Writing and Visual Marketing & Communications Departments Worldwide. Melissa joined ICONICS in June 2002 and has held several positions at the company starting in our Quality Assurance Department, and in 2004, became the BizViz Product Marketing Manager. Melissa has a BS in Computer Science and a minor in Management Information Systems from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI).

Clive Walton

Clive Walton

Clive’s career in the industrial automation software sector spans a remarkable 35-year period. Beginning as a mechanical engineer at Stein Atkinson Stordy after college, Clive secured reseller rights in the UK for both Westinghouse PLC’s and ICONICS GENESIS for DOS. This marked the inception of a highly successful distribution business that he founded and the commencement of his relationship with ICONICS.

Driven by his passion for translating technical expertise into customer-centric solutions, Clive transitioned to the dynamic world of ICONICS. In 1990, he played a pivotal role in establishing the first UK office, eventually growing the team to over 60 professionals. Serving as ICONICS UK CEO for over three decades, Clive takes pride in being part of the talented team that is now integrated into Mitsubishi Electric and jointly promoting the Intelligent Building Platform (IBSS) developed in the UK and now promoted globally.

Looking ahead, Clive is excited about the myriad opportunities unfolding in software development, particularly in the realm of cloud technology. Together, the team is cultivating a "can do attitude," always prioritizing customer input—the cornerstone of any successful business.

Chris Bromley

Chris has been managing the sales team at ICONICS for over a decade and is responsible for the continued growth of the UK business. With a degree in software engineering Chris initially worked in industrial process control software engineering before moving into a sales role focussing on business development. Working for ICONICS since 2006 and responsible initially for business development, today he is responsible for product sales of GENESIS64 & IBSS and solution sales where an end-to-end solution is required for key accounts.

With his experience in many different industry sectors & his wealth of experience he remains a strong leader to the ICONICS senior management team.

Andy Dyke

Andy Dyke

Andrew leads our Intelligent Building Software Stack (IBSS) Product Team, which is a UK lead product. He also plays a strategic leadership role across marketing, sales and operations so to help advise on our market positioning, project delivery and customer engagement. He works closely with key stakeholders (internal and external) to set product roadmap and strategy for global market roll out.

His background is largely focused to a 20-year career in building control systems and integrations (from an electrical and electronic engineering apprenticeship through to being Technical Director and owning and running one of the largest BMS companies in the UK). In 2015 he made a career move into consulting, working globally with real estate and corporate giants on digital transformation strategies, leading the way in challenging real estate and workplace technologies to adopt big data strategies, cloud services, integrated data models, and common user application layers to fulfill broader operational value gains and improved user experience.

Andrew joined ICONICS in 2019 to bring all this experience together in leading the strategy and product management of the brand new IBSS offering, a Microsoft Azure SaaS based product with associated apps and automation engines for Smart Workplace and Smart Buildings.

Milesh Patel

Milesh Patel

Milesh manages and co-ordinates the support, project delivery and operations teams for the UK, responsible for the design and delivery of industry leading solutions using the ICONICS platform. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Information Systems and an AMBA-accredited MBA in IT Project Management from Leicester University. Milesh is also an affiliate of the Institute of Asset Management.

Milesh joined ICONICS in 2001 and has held a number of engineering, design and architecture roles within the business including product owner for ICONICS’ IBSS suite during its early years. With over 20 years of experience across a number of industries, Milesh has been a part of and driven a number of successful large software projects in the UK.

Andre Scherpenzeel

André Scherpenzeel

Andre’s current focus is to manage and coordinates the product development, quality assurance and new technologies for the ICONICS IBSS Cloud Solutions. He coordinates and works closely with management to set cloud product and technology strategies within the R&D objectives.

André joined ICONICS in 1996 in the Netherlands as a Support Engineer; and moved in 1999 to United Kingdom as the Technical Support Manager, where he has created the technical team to include a full-sized technical support team, turn-key project delivery team, and a dedicated Azure cloud Development & QA team. He is also responsible for the Management Systems within the UK since 2013, and has introduced ISO 14001, ISO 50001, and ISO 27001 since then.

André received both his Bachelor’s in Operational Technology, and his Bachelor’s in Computer Science from HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht, his MBA from Herriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, as well as Postgraduate Certificates in Wind & Solar Renewables from University of Loughborough, and System Analysis from the Open University.

John supervises and mentors the US Applications Solutions team and drives new projects and QPS opportunities. John joined ICONICS in June 2008 as a Technical Support Engineer and in 2010 he transitioned to Applications Engineer. He made significant contributions to ICONICS and the US QPS team with his strong technical knowledge and work ethic and was promoted to North American Applications Solutions Supervisor in June 2013. John has his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Roger Williams University.

Roberto is the Director of Applications in the EMEA region, responsible for providing quality professional services to our international customers. He joined ICONICS just after achieving his Master’s Degree cum laude in Computer Science in 2005. Roberto has a strong knowledge of ICONICS products both from an engineering point of view, and from an end user point of view. He has worked on projects in many different industries, including automotive, renewable, utilities, building automation, and manufacturing.

Kyle leads the global product management and technical communications teams, responsible for driving the growth of the ICONICS software portfolio and developing our product strategy to maximize the impact of ICONICS as part of Mitsubishi Electric Factory Automation. Kyle believes that innovation happens when a group of people work hard for something greater than themselves and loves to create environments for individuals to gel into high performing teams that output amazing things.

Kyle has more than 25 years of diverse industrial engineering, product management and marketing experience, which has allowed him to grow and serve in key leadership roles at Rockwell Automation, GE and system integration companies where he’s been responsible for business growth, industrial software strategy, automation engineering, team leadership, and more. 

Kyle enjoys working with customers, connecting to amazing people, and in general – doing epic stuff. He also enjoys playing hockey, snowboarding and running. Kyle is a graduate of St. Clair College in Ontario, Canada, where he earned a diploma in Mechatronics Engineering and holds 30 patents (co-inventor).

Gary is focused on developing new opportunities and business working with Mitsubishi Factory Automation and ICONICS’ sales resources in the Americas, VP Americas sales team.  Sales and business development leader with 25 plus years record driving sales by developing and managing accounts. Prior to joining Iconics, Gary spent 20 years at GE and has broad cross-functional experience coupled with great technical and people skills. Skilled at prospecting, closing and executing large, complex sales. Adept at cultivating ties and managing relationships with key decision makers. Selling the benefits of value propositions and quality over cost.

Gary resides in the Philadelphia area with his family, he enjoys golf, live sporting events, concerts and traveling.

Ariel joined ICONICS in June 2007, first working in the accounting department before moving into human resources in 2009, holding several positions. In 2023, she became the VP of Human Resources. Ariel has a BS in Accounting and a minor in Psychology from Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island. Ariel is responsible for all personnel functions at ICONICS, working closely with management, finance, and legal to support each office. Outside of work, she loves watching her oldest son play the drums and her youngest son play soccer, and spending as much time outdoors with her husband and Newfoundland dog, Homer.

Katie Corsini

Controller

Katie is responsible for all finance and accounting functions, overseeing all revenue recognition and treasury functions, managing and mentoring the global accounting team. Katie earned her bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting and her MBA from Assumption College located in Worcester, MA. She started her career in public accounting and earned her CPA in 2006. Her accounting background includes experience in various industries including consulting, private equity, and healthcare.
