Foxborough, MA – February 7, 2022 – Hyper Alarm Server by ICONICS, a group company of Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, received an honorable mention in this year's Control Engineering Engineers’ Choice Awards, the publication announced on February 7, 2022.

Control Engineering, part of CFE Media and Technology, awarded products in 19 categories of control, instrumentation and automation products introduced in 2021, as chosen by print and online subscribers. This is the 35th year of product recognition for the publication, highlighted in the February 2022 monthly edition, in several newsletters, and at www.controleng.com/EngineersChoice.

“Innovative solutions such as ICONICS Hyper Alarm Server make manufacturing and other control engineering applications more efficient through smart applications of new technologies. Investments in the best products and software can help solve the most pressing challenges in automation, control and instrumentation,” according to Mark T. Hoske, Control Engineering content manager.

Hyper Alarm Server is a powerful new addition to the alarm management capabilities of GENESIS64, capable of serving alarms to clients using ICONICS, OPC UA, or OPC Classic. It was developed using all new technology that allows it to perform better while providing ISA 18.2-compliance and redundancy.

The native asset-based integration of Hyper Alarm Server allows users to configure alarms directly from equipment properties or equipment classes in AssetWorX. No longer do users have to maintain two different structures – e.g., an alarm area tree and an asset tree. Now, alarms can be configured directly within the asset tree so that they are inherently part of your equipment's digital twin from the get-go.

“Continuous improvements among leading technology providers ensure that manufacturers, machine builders, and automation system integrators can achieve the levels of agility, efficiency, and effectiveness necessary to compete—and win—in today’s global economy,” Hoske said.
