ICONICS KPIWorX, a mobile app available from both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, now supports smart watches, starting with the Apple Watch platform (Apple Watch Series 2 and newer). KPIWorX’ self-service dashboard technology, introduced by ICONICS, now incudes support for delivering custom visualization and KPIs on popular watch platforms. It allows you to connect to real-time information provided via OPC UA, BACnet, Modbus and other popular communication technology standards, as well as to business intelligence data from databases and other analytics tools. It is now possible to integrate smart watch technology with GPS and beacon location services; capabilities that enable a contextualized, “location-aware” smart watch user experience.

ICONICS’ new smart watch connectivity is an extension of its powerful, easily configurable KPIWorX self-service dashboard, which delivers real-time visualization and analysis via a free, web-based, mobile thin client. Widgets available for the watch interface will include informative labels, as well as multiple chart options, including line, bar, column, donut, pie, and trend charts. Each widget will provide its own level of interactivity (cursors, summaries, etc.) on the watch itself.
KPIWorX’ integration with smart watches will commence with Apple Watch Series 2 and later models. ICONICS also plans to release a version for Android smart watches (e.g., Samsung Gear S3) following this initial launch.
