Creating a New SPC Tag
Creating a new SPC tag is quite simple thanks to the standard datatype pre-configured for SPC analysis. By using an SPC tag bound to your raw data you can quickly generate new calculations for better process control.
Setting Collection Types
Calculation types define the means of analysis of an SPC tag, including calculations of standard deviation, range, medians, and others. Each of these may supplementally have their own related configurations and limit values, which are discussed here.
Distribution Rules
Distribution rules define the bounding parameters of an SPC error condition. Many of the most commonly used rules are included by default, but users can also add their own customized rules as needed.
Control Limits
Control Limits define the bounds for what is acceptable performance, and can be defined to be static values or dynamic according to prior performance in the system.
Statistics
Numerous statistical values can be calculated upon SPC subgroups to provide a clear understanding of performance. All of these statistics can be added to a tag simply through a checkbox interface.
